“I love working with people across our industry — and serving our customers,” Mark said. “I’m particularly proud that all of our siblings are working together. This is a family business in the truest sense of the word.”

“I’m proud of the way we have weathered all of the storms that have come our way — whether it be fires, actual weather or economic storms,” she said. “Through the years, we’ve pulled together and actually come out stronger for it.”
She played the Bari-sax in a 26-piece swing band semi-professionally for more than 12 years. She also enjoys playing league tennis.
“I work with all four of my brothers and haven’t been put in jail or the funny farm — yet!” she said.
Jeff keeps King Lumber's mechanicals running and constructing kilns, planer mills, sorters, stackers and more. He also does a lot of the hiring.
One of the things he likes best about his work is watching new projects operate properly.
“Every day is different — and I love the variety of challenges that come my way here at King Lumber,” Jeff said. “Keeping this place mechanically sound keeps me going.”
In his free time, Jeff loves to drag race, fish and hunt. He has one son, who is in his second year at Mississippi State University, studying mechanical engineering.

“I have an inside office, but my main office is a Taylor forklift,” he said. “We take pride in putting out a good quality product. I really believe our father, Ed Gaddis, would be proud of us. He is the one that instilled a good work ethic in us. I know Mama (JoJo) is proud of us, but we’re thankful and proud of her too.”
Mike is the oldest sibling and has been married to his high school sweetheart for 43 years. He and his wife, LuAnn, have two daughters, Lauren and Leslie, and eight grandchildren.
King Lumber’s sister company, Triple G Trucking, hauls lumber within a 350-mile radius.
